An urgent plea for the gift of life...
Brian is a regular blood donor at our local vets and at our last donation session, the head nurse was chatting to me about how low their stocks were of Negative blood type; most Dobes are "Negative" blood type and because of their size, general good health and fantastic disposition, they make ideal donor dogs. Please consider taking your Dobe to a donor session; they get an extensive health check, they will be microchipped for free (if not already chipped) and the team from Pet Blood Bank will make the biggest fuss of them, rewarding them every step of the way.
To be a donor, your dog needs to be:
Fit and healthy
Between one and 8 years old
Weigh more than 25kg
Have a good temperament
Have never travelled abroad
Vaccinated
Not on any medication
